Empowering Students for a Brighter Future

Student Hope Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to reducing the burden of hidden costs of high school.

· Did you know that the average SENIOR DUES (as in money 12th grade students are required to pay to help offset the cost of their final year) averages $200? 

· Did you know the cost of a Cap & Gown (needed to be able to walk the stage) is $85?

· Did you know the cost of college application fees are, on average are $40-50? 

· Did you know in order to RE-take the SAT (a required exam for University Entrance) is about $70, give or take a bit if you register late or need to change your date. Many students need to do a re-test to get a better score. (to help with admissions, scholarships and such)

YES! Thanks to our wonderful board and the knowledge they have- we are NOW a 501(c)3 Non-Profit and are able to give you an official donation slip!

Yes and currently only if in Saginaw County, Michigan.

Usually PTO/PTA Programs focus solely on K-8. With high school being the most expensive part of the path, these kids still need support!

· Some of our assistance isn’t a NEED, but absolutely a rite of passage.

· Sure, Senior Photos are not a NEED! But we aren’t offering Senior Photos- we are offering a LOW/NO cost Cap & Gown session for those who really need it, just a single photo to commemorate the accomplishment and cherish the memories!

· Sure, feminine hygiene products aren’t a NEED for all, but they are a NEED for some. We aren’t giving a years supply to anyone, we promise, but we are trying to help who we can, with what we can.

· Sure, college application fees are not a NEED, but without help, some students will NOT be able to apply.

· Sure, a class t-shirt or school sponsored shirt is NOT a need, but imagine feeling constantly left out of these things- not feeling like you fit in. Sure, it’s not a NEED, but if only 6 students couldn’t afford them, you’d want to help too!

· Sure, the ‘graduation walk’ across the stage is NOT a NEED, but they worked really hard for it and deserve to put on that Cap & Gown, they cannot afford, and walk with their class, commemorating their hard work! 

We aren’t helping every single student but want to help as many as we can!

We ask for not only an application to be submitted, but also some supporting documentation.

-No, we don’t need your confidential information

-But yes, we do need someone to support your request.

We bring each application to the board.

-We collectively go over each application and decide at the next meeting!

-Good news, we meet every month!

-If approved, we contact you and your school directly!
